The first phase of the project, Flatrock, is located in the Canadian state of British Columbia, and involves the restoration of 199 hectares of degraded bare land, unsuitable for agriculture, to native white spruce forest.
Delivery of the VERs is expected to be 150,000 per year starting in this year, with an option for ERA to acquire an additional 150,000 in both 2012 and 2013.
The tons are expected to be used to supply up to 25% of the $11,000,000 sales agreement with the Forest Carbon Group announced on 13 December 2011.
