Eni has also completed the commissioning of the third train at the Bhit gas treatment plant, which will process gas from the nearby Badhra gas field, following the Badhra development and Bhit acceleration project.
The Badhra development and Bhit acceleration project are expected to increase the existing Bhit plant capacity by 17%, from 270 million cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 315MMscfd.
It is also expected to enhance gas sales to the gas utility companies to help fulfill the increasing demand of energy in Pakistan. Total investment in the Badhra development and Bhit acceleration project is expected to be approximately $50 million.
