The new joint venture in Ireland, dubbed as EnergyPro Asset Management will utilize its analysis tools to make wind turbines yield their maximum electricity output.

Both the partners will have 50% stake in the joint venture which would leverage on the 20+ years of operating experience in Irish wind farms acquired by both EnergyPro Analytics and GES.

The combination of the two energy consultants in the form of the new joint venture is expected to become a leading windfarm management company in Ireland.

EnergyPro Analytics director Sheila Layden said: “By combining forces with GES, we will benefit from their deep sectoral knowledge and become the largest home-grown Irish windfarm management company”.

Initially, EnergyPro Asset Management will have a combined long term contract roster of 180MW wind turbines.

It will handle assets for various owners of windfarms ranging from independent local developers to global institutional investors like Greystone Infrastructure Fund and Impax Asset Management.

 EnergyPro Asset Management will initially employ 18 people and the number expected to grow in the future, The Irish Times reported.

The joint venture company will have offices in the Kildare, Cavan counties and also in Cork.

Headquartered in Fairfax in Virginia state, EnergyPro Analytics designs energy management programs that are customized according to clients’ requirements. The various energy management services it provides include commodity procurement, budget planning, rate analysis, contract negotiation and energy efficiency audits.

Its Irish partner, GES provides technical advisory, development support, project management and engineering assistance that range from project feasibility to the construction and operation stages.
