EnergyAustralia, an electricity supplier plans to install 30 meter electricity cable through an under sea tunnel at New South Wales in Australia.

The company will use horizontal directional drilling for the installation of 30 meter electricity cable below the seabed of the northern arm of Booker Bay in New South Wales.

A HDD rig will be used for creating the tunnel under the sea bed. The drilling site will be established at the corner of Petit St and Booker Bay Road, and will be in place for nine weeks.

In addition, a 500 meter long electricity submarine cable will also be installed between Booker Bay and Wagstaffe in order to improve the electricity supply for more than 1,500 homes and businesses in the surrounding areas.
