The solar power project was developed as part of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with various Industries under the Open Access program. The Open Access program affords opportunities for small investors to benefit from the growing solar sector.
Emmvee noted that another 10MW will be connected to the grid by the end of April 2013, giving the plant power generating capacity of 25 million units per annum. The remaining 5MW will be commissioned over the coming months.
Commenting on the project, Emmvee group founder and managing director D.V. Manjunatha said the company is looking forward to secure more investments for the development of more solar parks with existing and new partners over the next coming years.
The company has commissioned several major projects in Europe. In 2012, Emmvee developed an 11.4 MW Solar PV Power park in Bronkow, Germany.
