Emcor Group, a provider of electrical construction services, has promoted Kevin Matz to the position of executive vice president of shared services.

Previously senior vice president of shared services, Mr Matz oversees the departments responsible for the provision of centralized professional services to Emcor’s 76 subsidiaries.

Mr Matz also plays a major role in corporate strategic development and execution, including his leadership of the Emcor management team that recently closed the $455 million acquisition of Ohmstede, a service provider to the refining and petrochemical industries.

Previously Mr Matz was also vice president and treasurer of Emcor. Prior to his employment with Emcor, he was treasurer of Sprague Technologies, an international manufacturer of electrical components and semi-conductors. He holds a graduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree from Drew University.
