Located in Dawson and Borden Counties, Texas, the wind farm will feature 118 General Electric (GE) 1.7MW turbines.
The wind farm, which is currently under construction, is expected to commence renewable energy generation in the second quarter of 2015.
The contract requires EDF to deliver the operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the facility.
EDF will provide the collection system, substation, transformers, transmission lines, switchgear, equipment, machinery, fiber optic cables for the supervisory control and data acquisition system, control systems, communication systems, foundations, poles and O&M facility.
The company will carry out remote services at its NERC compliant operations control center (OCC).

American food firm Mars has agreed to purchase the renewable energy generated from the Mesquite Creek wind farm.
The energy generated from the wind farm will represent 24% of Mars’ entire global factory and office carbon footprint and 12% of its worldwide energy use.
The wind farm will allow Mars to reach its goal of achieving carbon neutral electricity consumption some 25 years ahead of its 2040 target.
