The Bay Area, which is considered to be a nexus for the EV industry, and California, which is claimed to be the hub of EV market in the country, are expected to strengthen Ecotality’s foothold in the EV market.

The new location will give Ecotality the opportunity to strike regional partnerships and leverage local talent to build a networking and software division, and a national sales team operating from a major media market.

The company also hopes to benefit from the incentives California offers to renewable energy companies. The operations in the company’s other offices will continue as usual in their current locations, with no changes whatsoever in the site or in the business strategy.
