Dominion North Carolina Power has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with 510nano Inc for the electric output of a 1.4MW photovoltaic solar power station, which will be built in North Carolina.

The solar power station is planned for seven acres in Northampton County, and the construction is expected to start by March.

Dominion said that in the early stages, it has plans for a 4MW solar facility in Halifax County, Virginia.

510nano Inc president Reginald Parker said that Dominion and Northampton County have made the process fairly easy, and the farm is strategically located in terms of geography and governmental regulations.

US based 510nano is a technology and business development firm that is specialized in developing and deploying renewable energy solutions.
