The alliance is expected to expedite the commercialization of enhanced lithium battery technology.

Graphene Batteries noted that the binder-less NanotoMacro electrode manufacturing technology of CVD is expected to enable the design and manufacturing of an electrode with a higher energy density, a 30% cost reduction, an enhanced charging time and a longer lifetime.

Commenting on the partnership, CVD Equipment president and CEO Leonard A. Rosenbaum said that the agreement inked with Graphene Batteries showcases the company’s commitment in implementing its vision to enable the acceleration of the commercialization of nano materials.

Graphene Batteries CEO Rahul Fotedar said, "We are happy to be able to combine forces with CVD.

"We expect that our graphene battery core technology can be further enhanced with the material processing knowledge from CVD and result in higher performance materials."
