Under the contract, the company will install Hollysys’ proprietary distributed control system (HOLLiAS-N DCS) and CTEC’s proprietary reactor protection system at 5 and 6 units of the Yangjiang power station.
Primarily developed for 1GW level nuclear power plant, HOLLiAS-N DCS serves as the "nervous system" for the nuclear power plant operation’s automatic control and operational monitoring during its running process.
The system is currently installed and operated in 1 unit of Hongyanhe and 1 unit of Ningde Nuclear Power stations in China.
The first time installation of CTEC’s proprietary reactor protection system represents a significant breakthrough for China’s proprietary nuclear automation and control technology application, according to the company.
Funded and being constructed by a consortium of CGNPC-led power corporations, the Yangjiang Nuclear Power Station will feature 1GW CPR-1000 pressurized water reactors (PWRs), with 5 and 6 units using CGNPC’s proprietary ACPR-1000 technology.
