The first two ChargePoint stations with universal hookups that can be used by most plug-in electric vehicles, including electric bicycles and the electric cars about to be launched in the market, will be installed in the public parking garage between B and C Streets in downtown San Rafael.

The Transportation Authority of Marin is pursuing plans and funding strategies for an early installation of 17 of the stations throughout the county, forming the proposed network of EV charging stations around the Bay Area as part of the cities’ Climate Change Action Plan.

Coulomb’s ChargePoint America will offer both public and home charging stations to individuals and businesses and Ford, General Motors and smart USA that have joined Coulomb in this program plan to introduce their respective EVs in New York in the coming months.

Coulomb plans to provide 4,600 charging stations to the program participants in nine regions in the US including Austin, Texas, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Florida, Sacramento, California, the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area, Bellevue/Redmond, Washington, and Washington DC.
