Commerce Energy Group, a US electricity and natural gas marketing company, has appointed Shaun McCabe as the new vice president of legal and regulatory affairs for its major operating subsidiary, Commerce Energy Inc.
Mr McCabe, who has 20 years of experience in a variety of regulatory, legal and corporate law areas, will assume several of the responsibilities previously handled by Erik Lopez, who has left the company. He will be based in the company’s Dallas, Texas office.
Steven Boss, CEO of Commerce Energy, said: Shaun has significant knowledge and expertise in the energy-services market. His extensive knowledge of energy markets, energy regulations and the legislative process will add a strong level of expertise to Commerce Energy. In addition, he has a long-standing interest in the benefits consumers realize from having ‘choice’ in selecting their energy provider.
