The cells will be used in Solar Park Korea’s module production and downstream applications. China Sunergy signed the contract via its subsidiary China Sunergy Nanjing.
Solar Park Korea CEO Hyunwoo Park said: "After significant due diligence and evaluation of solar cells providers, we concluded that China Sunergy, with its ability to deliver the highest quality solar cells at competitive prices, is the best choice for our needs.
"We look forward to closely working with China Sunergy in our global expansion."
China Sunergy chairman and CEO Tingxiu Lu said: "We believe that the combination of our diversified product offerings, continual conversion efficiency improvements, and worldwide distribution reach provides a strong platform for both parties’ global business development."
Solar Park Korea, which was established in 2008, currently has total production capacity of 600MW. The company plans to increase its capacity to 1.2GW in Korea.
China Sunergy designs, manufactures and delivers solar cells and modules from its production centers based in China and Turkey.
