Urban Group Energy is the energy arm of Urban Group Australia and its services include wholesaling and distribution of solar PV panels and grid tied inverters in Australia.
Commenting on the sales contract China Sunergy chief executive officer Stephen Cai highlighted the importance of the Australian solar market for the company.
"By cooperating with China Sunergy, we believe we can both expand market share in this promising market, resulting in a win-win situation for both of us," added Urban Group Australia executive director and CEO Adam Pearse.
Data from the Chinese customs department shows that China Sunergy has shipped 28MW solar modules to Australia in the first half of 2012 and would be looking to add to that tally in the latter half of the year.
