The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, in partnership with the the Chesapeake Bay Progamme, has requested proposals for the 2001 Chespeake Bay Small Watershed Grants Programme.

The programme provides grants of up to US$50,000 for local governments and organisations working to improve local watershed management in the Chespeake Bay basin.

Applications must be submitted by 6 April 2001. Applicants are invited to a workshop on the programme to be held in Annapolis, Maryland in March 2001. The workshop will provide an overview of the programme and offer recommendations on what makes a strong proposal. Selected grant recipients from last year will give presentations about their projects.
