The VA Tech Group has decided to separate its transmission and distribution activities from the VA Tech Elin Group in order to focus on individual product portfolios.
VA Tech Elin will now focus on power plants and power generation systems and will be named va-tech-hydro. The hydroelectric activities of VA Tech Voest MCE and all hydro interests, including the recently acquired VA Tech Escher Wyss Group, have been merged into VA Tech Hydro.
The company says that by merging all the electro-mechanical hydro activities into VA Tech Hydro it can offer a range of solutions from one source. Close co-operation with the transmission and distribution department will give customers access to complete solutions for the entire range of power- related products and services.
