Cardo, a supplier of wastewater treatment systems, has secured a SEK8.5m contract to supply turbocompressors and mixers for a biological wastewater treatment plant in Jurong, Singapore.
Under this contract, Cardo will provide ABS turbocompressors and mixers for the wastewater treatment plant that utilizes biological processes and microfiltration to treat approximately 68,000 cubic meter water per day.
Cardo Flow Solutions, a division within the company that offers a range of pumps, mixers, agitators, aerators, compressors, control and monitoring equipment, and service for the transport and treatment of wastewater, will deliver the equipments during the first quarter of 2011.
Cardo president and CEO Peter Aru said that the biological treatment process requires large quantities of oxygen, which are pumped into the tanks.
“With the help of our turbocompressors, the customer reduces both energy consumption and CO2 emissions. We, therefore, cut operating costs and create a more sustainable wastewater treatment process in the long term,” Aru said.
