Burkert Fluid Control Systems has introduced a new, integrated controller concept eControl 8611 with pre-configured control systems that prevents coordination problems among the individual components to ensure trouble-free commissioning for optimum energy management.

During the initial configuration, the pre-parameterized controller requests all information needed for configuration of the control circuit, including pressure, temperature, flow rate, pH value, conductivity, followed by the type of control valve and the sensor inlet, to control the energy flow.

The choice of valves includes proportional valves (PWM signal), constant control valves (with 4-20mA or 0-10V control signal) or on/off valves for two-point or three-point for time-proportional control, while all Burkert flow sensors with the corresponding K-factors are suitable as flow sensors.

Due to the different piloting signals of the valves (PTM, PWM, 4-20mA, 0-10V) and the sensors for gases and fluids, the universal controller enables the plant operator to implement a diverse control system according to the specific requirements of various applications to control plant energy usage.

The modular controller comes in five versions with different mounting systems – wall mounting, hat rail mounting, direct mounting on a Burkert flow fitting, direct mounting on a Burkert proportional valve or mounting in a switch cabinet to provide de-central automation of control functions.
