Integrated energy major BP has announced that it has reduced the price of petrol and diesel by five New Zealand cents per liter at company-operated outlets across the country.

BP stated that the price of its 91 unleaded petrol in most areas is 170.9 New Zealand cents per liter, while its 95 unleaded petrol is selling for 176.9 New Zealand cents per liter. The price of diesel is reported to be 125.9 New Zealand cents per liter.

The price reduction is said to be due to decreases in the international cost of refined petrol and diesel, and the strengthening of the New Zealand dollar.
