BMW is expected to launch its electric vehicle, the i3 by the end of 2013 and is looking to secure the entire EV value chain before the launch.
As part of the strategic cooperation BMWi customers can purchase a customized package for green electricity to run their electric vehicles.
BMW cooperation head Cosmas Asam commented that electric vehicles are contribution in the field of sustainable mobility.
Naturstrom CEO Oliver Hummel added, "With green electricity, electric mobility makes an especially large contribution to environmental and climate protection."
