The 40MW solar photovoltaic (PV) facility, which is being developed by the company in Lake County, Florida, is expected to generate more than 64 million kWh of electricity per year.

The solar farm will be a ground mount system covering 140 acres of open field and will be built in stages, starting with 10MW in 2012.

The facility will be built using 174,000 monocrystalline and polycrystalline PV solar panels from Advanced Solar Photonics and other panel manufacturers.

The power generated from the solar plant will displace over 25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year.
