Jedi Jim U. Carcallas, the firms development communications officer informed that the power plant would generate 6MW, which would increase the supply of Antique Electric Cooperative (ANTECO), ILECO-I and other transmission/distribution facilities near the provinces.

The proposed power plant would install steam turbine generator to convert animal and farm waste to electricity along with the installation/strict implementation of safety measures and compliance with related laws, revealed the source. The open-field burning of rice straws/rice hull would lead to the realization of the Clean Air Act.

Carcallas added that the construction would commence in October 2009 and would be completed by October 2010. The plant is expected to commence its operations by January 1, 2011.
