The company drilled and tested the first three wells into the targeted formation and encountered a new oil pool on the third well.

The company production tested all the three wells and found that the second and third wells have shown positive results while the first well though did not find any commercial quantities of oil and gas.

Aroway Energy president and CEO Chris Cooper said the discovery validates the company’s 3D seismic program.

"This new reservoir will yield important oil production, cash flow and reserve adds to our ongoing development program in our core area of operations," Cooper added.

The company is furnishing the two oil and gas producing wells for pipelined production and is expecting to complete the equipment process by early October 2012.

Aroway has added the first well to its re-completion inventory which will be re-entered some time later as the well showed favorable log results in the shallower zones
