The project to be complete in 2013 will be financed by APS through the company’s AZ Sun Program.
The new solar facility will be owned and operated by APS and is expected to provide electricity to more than 3,500 Arizona homes.
APS is investing in the development of 200 MW of solar photovoltaic power plants across Arizona.
The five-year AZ Sun Program approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission is expected to have at least eight solar facilities online by 2015.
