The Artemus Project is approximately 13,000 acre lease, with estimated reserves of 40 million tons of the Kentucky Blue Gem, Jellico and Lily seams of coal, and there are two surface permits and two deep mine permits on this project.

Americas Energy president and CEO Chris Headrick said Clear Development has earlier production experience on their Upland Church Project.

"Their team brings three generation of surface mining experience to bear on our Artemus Project. Clear will be producing in both the Jellico and Lily Coal Seams, while we expand our permit and add additional acreage," Headrick said.

The company anticipates approximately 10,000-12,000 tons of production per month and plans to put into production the Lily seam deep mine in the Spring of 2011.
