Vosteen Consulting of Germany has signed a deal with Alstom to market and sell its innovative technology of bromine additives, for the removal of mercury from coal-fired boilers and other industrial processes.

According to the terms of the agreement, Alstom has exclusive rights to market this technology to the power generation industry in the United States and Canada. The technology significantly enhances mercury oxidation in coal-fired which is known to be easier to collect in downstream air pollution control equipment, including ESPs, FFs, DFGD and WFGD systems.

Vosteen Consulting, based in Cologne, Germany specialises in research and development of mercury removal from power generation and industrial processes.
