Alstom said automating electrical substations implies the automatic acquisition and processing of data coming from the IEDs installed inside the substation.
P60 Agile, which fulfills a set of all-in-one functions, expands the company’s offerings, which were until now aimed at transmission grid operators.
Alstom vice president of Substation Automation Solutions (SAS) Herve Amosse said that the new product has been designed to meet the needs of next-generation smart distribution networks.
"This launch brings customer-inspired new technology and a significant range expansion that will enable us to grow in the distribution market," Amosse said.
