During a meeting on 4 November 2002, following a proposal by the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) and by the Nominations and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Alstom has appointed Mr Patrick Kron as the new CEO.
This appointment will be effective from 1 January 2003. Pierre Bilger will remain chairman of the Board until 31 December 2003, when Kron will also succeed him as chairman.
