The order, which is booked in the process industry segment, is expected to complete in 2014 and 2015.
The company noted that heat exchangers will be used to increase the yield and recover energy in the production of ethylene, which is an important ingredient to manufacture industrial chemicals and plastics products.
Alfa Laval Group president and CEO Lars Renström said, "This order is an example of the reindustrialization we see, driven by shale gas."
The company is specialized in providing products and engineering solutions based on its technologies of heat transfer, separation and fluid handling.
Alfa Laval also produces products for power plants and aboard ships, as well as for mechanical engineering industry, mining industry and wastewater treatment.
