Scheduled for deliveries in 2013 and 2014, the heat exchangers will be used to produce mixed xylenes, ingredients in the manufacturing of synthetic nylons and PET bottles.
Alfa Laval president and CEO Lars Renström said, "This is the second large order, within a short period of time, for our highly energy-efficient Alfa Laval Packinox heat exchangers."
"This order proves that our customers value the superior performance of Packinox heat exchanger in the demanding petrochemical and refinery applications," Renström added.
The heat recovery duties for which the Packinox heat exchangers are used normally involve very long temperature programs, with only a small temperature difference between the flow fluids.
