The heat exchangers will be used in the reactor island cooling systems, where some of them will operate in the system that cools down the main reactor in case of any shutdown.
Alfa Laval Group president and CEO Lars Renström said this order confirms the company’s strong position in the Russian power market.
"In fact we have supplied equipment to all nuclear power plants in operation in Russia today" said Renström.
Delivery is scheduled to start in 2013 and will be completed during 2015.
