Acuity Brands, a developer of energy efficient lighting and control systems, has secured a contract to retrofit the lighting of New York Javits Convention Center using its Holophane brand of high bay luminaries.
This re-lighting project, which forms part of the convention center’s 3-year renovation initiative incorporating upgrades and facelifts to much of the facility, started this summer and will phase through 2013.
Under this contract, Acuity Brands will replace the existing high bay luminaries at the center with Holophane Prismpack high bay luminaries to deliver enhanced quality of illumination, energy savings and reduction in overall maintenance costs.
Holophane Prismpack luminaries, which are suitable for a range of commercial, industrial and outdoor applications, are available with a wide range of HID lamps and ballasts to deliver required lighting levels in an energy efficient manner.
Prismpack luminaries include ISD SuperGlass covered reflectors that provide minimal uplight and a differentiated aesthetic appearance and feature tool-free mechanisms and covered open glass optics that simplify installation, ensure efficient light output, and low maintenance.
