Advanced Battery Technologies (ABAT), a developer and distributor of rechargeable polymer lithium-ion (PLI) batteries and electric vehicles, has secured a $0.72m re-order for its electric scooters from its Turkey-based client Unitek.
ABAT, which expects to ship these electric scooters by November 2010, has secured this contract through its sales distribution partner Kanuni Motorcycle, a motor cycle producer in Turkey.
Kanuni that sells three types of electric scooters produced by ABAT’s electric vehicle business through its local distribution network plans to continue expanding the sales network in Southern Europe.
ABAT CEO Zhiguo Fu said that the re-order obtained from the previously established client exemplifies ABAT’s product’s quality and strong consumer demand.
“Turkey is an important market for our electric scooters and we look forward to providing more products locally through our new strategic partner, Kanuni Management,” Fu said.
