Ingersoll-Rand has established Ingersoll-Rand Energy Systems in New Hampshire, USA. This new business will include the PowerWorks family of microturbines.
Ingersoll-Rand Energy Systems had formerly been an integrated part of Northern Research and Engineering Corporation (NREC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ingersoll-Rand.
Ingersoll-Rand Energy Systems has said that it will be working alongside Ingersoll-Rand’s Air Solutions business in order to be able to provide production capabilities and global distribution of the PowerWorks system. In addition to this, Ingersoll-Rand Energy Systems will be working with Ingersoll-Rand’s Portable Power business to introduce its microturbine generator technology into selected market segments.
