Prosafe has won two separate contracts from Norwegian firm Statoil Petroleum to supply its semi-submersible accommodation and service vessels, Safe Scandinavia and Regalia.

The Safe Scandinavia will be used for nine months at a cost of $76.6m for accommodation support work at the Snorre A field in the Norwegian North Sea.

Statoil has been granted a three-month option on the unit, but also has the option to extend the firm period to 16 months, at or before the end of June 2012.

If the firm period is extended to 16 months, the total value of the contract will be around $132.8m.

The company has also entered into a five-month, $47.3m deal with Regalia for accommodation support work at Svalin / Grane, also in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

Prosafe has granted Statoil four additional one-month options and if exercised, the Regalia will relocate to the Brage platform in the same area.

On-site operations for Regalia and Safe Scandinavia are planned to commence in February and March 2014 respectively.
