Petrobras's Argentine subsidiary Petrobras Energia has appointed Decio da Costa as its new CEO, effective February 1, 2008.
Mr da Costa has been serving as the international executive manager for the southern cone of South America, and as the president of the board of directors of Petrobras Energia and Petrobras Energia Participaciones.
He was hired by Petrobras in 1985, and has remained with the company ever since. He will replace Carlos Fontes, who is expected to be appointed to a new senior management position in Brazil.
