TAMS Consulting, a subsidiary of US engineering, construction and project management services company Earth Tech, is completing the final study for designs of the Misicuni dam in Bolivia.

A draft report was completed last year, and the Consultant is addressing client comments on the draft. Bolivia has already secured project financing, and bids will be called to develop the dam’s first phase, after the completion of the TAMS report.

Phase one includes building a 85m high, US$50M dam in the Misicuni reservoir, designed to provide some 2.2 cu. m/s of water to central Bolivia’s Cochabamba city by end-2006. A separate contractor would raise the dam to 120m in phase two.
