Construction has begun on a 55.5 MW wind farm in the Alsleben-Schackstedt region of Germany some 70 km northwest of Leipzig.
The project, developed by EAB Technology Group and recently acquired by GE Energy Financial Services, will use 37 GE 1.5 MW turbines.
Alsleben is scheduled to begin commercial service by the end of March 2006. EAB will continue to act as technical advisor to the project.
