Berlin-based skytron® energy is to provide monitoring and supervision technology for the 57.6 MWp Oriana solar power plant in Isabela, Puerto Rico. The plant, which started power production in September, is owned by solar power producer and investor Sonnedix and is said to be the largest plant of its kind in the Caribbean.

For Oriana, skytron has re-engineered skyCOMM, its digital signal converter system, which integrates external devices like inverters and irradiation measurement systems as well as temperature sensors into the plant network, collecting data at high resolution – 1-second values – via a single data concentrator, communicating in both directions.

Greece-based METKA-EGN built the PV facility, and is responsible for commissioning and operation.
