CEZ has successfully implemented its first framework agreement under which it shall deliver electricity to Kraft Foods' companies in five countries in central and eastern Europe.

Electricity supplies to the companies of Kraft Foods began in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania on January 1, 2007. Supplies in Poland should commence during the first half of this year. The framework agreement also assumes the future extension to other countries in central and eastern Europe where Kraft Foods operates.

The regional supply agreement with Kraft Foods is our first integrated international end-user supply contract. We have succeeded due to our flexibility, a well-prepared offer and our ability to address customer needs in the whole central and eastern Europe from one place, said Alan Svoboda, executive director for Sales and Trading at CEZ.

We have today commercial licenses in nine countries of CSEE region. Similar contracts for integrated supplies in multiple countries are in negotiation, he continued.
