Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2009.
The Karcino project is the third contract which Dong Energy signs with Vestas in Poland. Previous orders have also been located on the northwest coast of Poland.
“It is with great pleasure that we announce the signing of the project, and we are happy with the continued commitment which Dong Energy has shown Vestas,” says Klaus Steen Mortensen, president of Vestas Northern Europe.
When put into production, the Karcino project will save the environment from an annual emission of almost 105,000 tons of CO2.
