Sunovia Energy Technologies, Inc. (Sunovia) has appointed Ed Kramer as director of sales and marketing for its subsidiary, EvoLucia Lighting. Kramer will be responsible for further developing distribution channels and revenue opportunities related to all of the company’s lighting products. Previously he served as national sales manager for Beacon Lighting.

Kramer has extensive experience in the lighting equipment and electric utility industries. While at Beacon, Kramer was responsible for the creation of visio lighting, a division of Beacon Products, and controlled all aspects of product selection, UL approvals, catalogue development, advertising, Web site development, and sales agent development and training.

Earlier to his work at Beacon, Kramer served as director of marketing for quality lighting and metrolux lighting, divisions of JJI Lighting Group. There, he spearheaded a new division focused on roadway and sign lighting and was responsible for the product development and marketing of outdoor, roadway and tunnel lighting, including catalog creation, advertising, and recruiting and training a sales force.

Kramer has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) since 1972 and has held chapter positions such as secretary, treasurer and vice president (he currently serves on the Roadway Lighting Committee). He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Ohio State university. He is married with two grown children and three grandchildren, and lives in Sarasota.
