The sub-grants are funded through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG), which is supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

This project is an expansion of TRC’s services in New Hampshire. The company is currently supporting the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission and the New Hampshire Department of Education to document and analyze the energy use and associated carbon emissions for K-12 public and private schools across the state. The results will help the state reach its greenhouse gas reduction goals.

Frank Reilly, vice president of Energy Services of TRC, said: “The ARRA funds will help entities across New Hampshire reduce their energy use and, ultimately, save money. We look forward to participating in the selection process and supporting the award recipients in an effort to achieve the greatest savings possible.

“It is promising to see stimulus funding dedicated to energy efficiency, an area where TRC has considerable expertise and offers a number of services.”
