”Now the ball is in the court of Rajasthan government,” ONGC Chairman and Managing Director R S Sharma said, adding that a number of bilateral discussions with the state government and company officials have taken place in this regard.
Earlier, at the inauguration ceremony of Cairn India Limited’s Mangala oilfeild in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had demanded from the Center and ONGC to establish a refinery in the state. Petroleum Minister Murli Deora had also said due to the repeated demands of setting up a refinery, he will talk with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue.
