Modine Manufacturing Company (Modine) has promoted Matthew J. McBurney to the position of director, commercial products North America. He will report to Thomas F. Marry, Modine's regional vice president, Asia. McBurney has succeeded Thomas G. Cromwell, formerly vice president of Modine's commercial products group, who was recently promoted to regional vice president, Americas within the company.

In this new position, McBurney, a 17-year Modine veteran, will be responsible for the company’s commercial products group (CPG) business throughout North America. Earlier, as director of North American heating and cooling within CPG, he was leading the re-establishment of success in the company’s commercial and industrial heating, ventilating and air conditioning business by improving new product development and strengthening relationships with sales representatives, distributors, contractors, engineers, and architects. This new role will enable McBurney to build on his previous accomplishments and drive improvements throughout CPG North America.

His strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and proven record of success will continue to move our North American Commercial Products business forward.

Modine’s CPG sells a variety of commercial furnaces, chillers, data center cooling units, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems; and many other products to commercial and residential consumers worldwide.

Ever since joining Modine in 1992, McBurney has served in various operations and management positions, consisting of program manager in the automotive division, plant superintendent for the Richland, SC facility, and business & product development manager within CPG. McBurney has a BSME degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Marquette University.
