ITT Water & Wastewater UK Ltd. (ITT Water & Wastewater), a provider of fully integrated solutions for fluid handling in transport and treatment, of water and wastewater, has received contract from Black & Veatch Corporation (Black & Veatch) to supply 37 acclaimed Wedeco UV treatment systems to 18 facilities. The contract includes the design, supply and commissioning of the UV systems which will help reduce the risk of viable cryptosporidium oocysts entering the drinking water supply.

The facilities are owned by Dwr Cymru Welsh Water.

The experts from the Wedeco project team have been involved with advising Black & Veatch on the installation requirements for the schemes and the overall design of the systems, which are highly technical. Installation should be completed by the summer.
