Hydrogenics Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of hydrogen generation and fuel cell products, has been awarded a contract for an electrolysis based hydrogen fueling station in Turkey.

The fueling station, which is expected to be capable of producing 65 kilograms of hydrogen per day, will be located at Golden Horn in Istanbul, Turkey, and be used for both land and sea transportation applications.

The award was made by the International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (ICHET), a project of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

ICHET seeks to initiate projects that establish or enhance hydrogen production from indigenous (preferably renewable) energy resources.
