Raritan, a developer of power and IT infrastructure management systems for data centers, has signed a distribution agreement with Graybar, a distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products, for its power management and KVM switch products.

The agreement allows Graybar to sell Raritan’s rack power distribution units (PDUs) and environmental sensors, and Power IQ energy management software that helps track, analyze and generate reports on rack capacity, energy usage and thermal analytics.

In addition, Graybar will distribute Raritan’s KVM portfolio designed for managing servers and other IT equipment from a single dashboard, helping customers manage their data center resources, including IT infrastructure equipment and the energy that powers it.

Graybar vice president of comm/data, Steve Stone said that Raritan is a great fit into the Graybar portfolio of data center solutions as power monitoring is incredibly important to data center owners and operators.

“The Raritan Power IQ platform fits well with a comprehensive solution, consolidating power analytics gathered at the cabinet-level and reporting the data in a meaningful way to identify opportunities for increased energy efficiency,” Stone said.
