In Trige north of Aarhus, the wind farm will be connected to the existing electricity transmission grid.

The 400 megawatt offshore wind farm between Djursland and Anholt is part of the energy agreement of February 12, 2008. The wind farm is expected to coveraround 4% of Danish electricity consumption, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of about 400,000 ordinary households. The Danish Energy Agency has put the actual construction of the offshore wind farm up for tender, and Energinet.dk has been tasked with building the landing facilities and preparing an environmental impact assessment for the wind farm.
